Final Minute
By Simon Kernick Engaging – Thriller Once started it was hard to put down this thriller, as you raced to the end to find out, who is bad, who is good, and who will live. Simon Kernick has woven a tale with strong lead characters that face an uphill battle to survive. Matt Baron is suffering amnesia, and under the care of his sister. He has been told he was in a car crash, but his memory refuses to come back, until a visit by two strangers. Matt Baron finds himself reacting in ways he cannot explain. Soon he has left behind dead bodies and is on the run for his life. This book reintroduces a character from some of Simon Kernicks other books – Tina Boyd, a former police detective, now private investigator. She finds herself linked to Baron, and against her better judgement helping him out. The characters are well developed, and the plot smooth and easy to read. It will easier hook you into Kernick’s books. Reviewed by Heath Henwood. Copy received via NetGallery in exchange for an honest review.
